* You also will be expected to CLEAN UP after the pep rally.
* Blue decorations needed... if there is nothing to set up, you will have to return to class; it is not a free period. What blue materials can you bring in from home?

(4) Homecoming Court online voting for King/Queen taking place until 9th period Thursday via SHS-West website.

MANDATORY SCC MEETING / HOMECOMING KING/QUEEN APPLICATION MEETING

* starts at St. Patricks Church on Main Street at 11:30 AM
* Please get dropped off by 11:15 so that you can find our group
* Who can participate and march with our Class of 2011 Banner??
* typically ends by New York Avenue ~ 1 hour later. Own transportation to/from event needed.

(4) Monday October 4-Friday October 8th - Spirit Week.
* We pick the themes of each day - (Ex: pajama day)
* We must decide today, make and print out signs, and post them all over the school tomorrow.

* Classes will sit together and be encouraged to wear Class Colors.
* Next Wednesday, we will distribute Pep Rally Passes during our meeting. They MUST BE SIGNED by your teacher(s) on Thursday permitting you to leave the class and participate in gym decorating periods 1-7. You are not automatically allowed to leave class!!!! You must sign in when you arrive at the gym --- it is not a free period!
* Each Class Council is responsible for decorating AND CLEANING UP its own section of the gym. It is NOT the custodial staff's job to clean up our decorations!
* What Blue decorating materials (Construction paper, streamers, etc) can you bring in from home??
* We need to come up with games to play for students/faculty (scooter race?)
* We need 8+ volunteers to participate in each game
* Order 25 blue balloons for $18?
* Tell your Varsity coaches to respond to email request for team info!!!

(15) HOMECOMING KING AND QUEEN APPLICATION INFO
* The titles of Homecoming King and Homecoming Queen are honors that recognize students for Smithtown school spirit and active participation in Smithtown school events.
* Only students who attend this informational meeting are permitted to run for Homecoming King/Queen.
* If you are interested in applying for this title, you must complete and hand the application form by FRIDAY OCTOBER 1st at 2 PM DIRECTLY to Mrs. Paulik (C105) or Mrs. Robinson (C116). Do not leave the form in a mailbox or under a door.
* Applications not submitted by the deadline will not be considered.
* Applicants are encouraged to participate in the Homecoming Parade on Sat. October 2nd.
* The official "Homecoming Court" will be announced over the loudspeaker on Monday October 4th. Those students should report to C116 for photo taking at 1:40 PM Monday.
* Nominees can begin campaigning for the position starting Tuesday October 5th but MUST follow the District Code of Conduct. Any violations or negative campaigning against other candidates will result in revocation of candidacy and/or discipinary action. Nominees must also clean up their campaigning materials by Tuesday October 12th.
* 12th graders can vote online (there will be a voting link on the SHS-West website) 1st period Tuesday October 5 - 9th period Thursday October 7 for Homecoming King/Homecoming Queen.
* Homecoming Court members and King/Homecoming Queen winners will be announced at the Pep Rally on Friday October 8th.
* The Homecoming King and Queen are also expected to come to the SHS-West football game on Saturday October 9th as they will be announced at halftime.

MEETING # 17: Wed. March 3, 2010

4) Prices for Mrs. DeLee's Balloon Centerpieces:

* The four black latex balloons with a silver mylar star and weight is $14.00 each.
* The three black latex balloons with a silver mylar star and weight is $12.00 each.
* She would have them all done at home and put them on the tables set-up about an hour or less. She would start setup at ~5 PM since the Jr. Prom is 7-11 PM.

According to Administration:

* Senior Banquet doesn’t have to be as early as this year (2010 Senior Banquet was Friday January 8, 2010 @ Flowerfields)

* A 2011 graduation date has not been set. BUT, IF graduation is on Thursday and a rain date on Friday, Administration wants the prom on Wednesday (the 2010 Senior Prom will be Wed. June 23, 2010 --- the night before Graduation--- @ __________________).

No meeting last week due to Snow Day

2) Mrs. DeLee (@ Accompsett Middle School until 3 PM) has created inexpensive balloon centerpieces for previous proms: She said to look on the internet for balloons and get an idea and she can let us know the price. Suggested we go with silver and black mylar stars or heart and some latex balloons just let her know how many tables and how many balloons in each centerpiece.
3) Collect leftover lollipop money... gift card awarded to top seller!
4)Go over what we have so far for prom:

- budget
5) Anymore fundraising ideas? (while the lollipops were helpful, we need to do more!!)
