(4) Interested in holding a Class Council leadership position???
* Class Officer positions - need to be discussed...
* Also we need Event Chairpeople to coordinate major upcoming events: Jr./Sr. Sports Day, Senior Banquet, Senior Prom
* anyone interested in taking these leadership positions please stay after the meeting to discuss....

* Officers must …demonstrate school spirit, class pride, leadership skills, responsibility, and ethical conduct.

…actively attend at least 75% of all meetings/club events. (note: you must commit to attend the whole meeting!)

…be in constant communication (verbal and electronic) with each other and club advisors.

President –

* prepares and emails weekly agenda to club advisors by each Monday

* runs weekly meetings

* sign official paperwork

* represents Class of 2011 at school /community functions

* signs Club Charter

* speaks at graduation

Treasurer –

* very responsible with money and keeps detailed spreadsheet of club finances

* brainstorms and coordinates fundraising events

* monitors cash box at fundraising events

* sign financial forms

Vice President

* takes attendance at meetings and events

* keeps email contact list updated

* prepares emails

* fills in for president when he/she is not available

* signs Club Charter

Secretary

* records detailed club ‘Minutes’ and either neatly handwrites or emails them to club advisors

* creates and prints out signs/flyers

* puts in announcements requests in E Administration

Historian

* photographs Class of 2011 activities / events (owns and has experience with using a digital camera)

* helps staple advisor-approved flyers around school

* prepares end-of-year slideshow of annual activities/events





(5) Jr. Sr. Sports Day - Tues. 11/16 (2-5 PM)
* Possible Events List Brainstormed at Last Meeting: (1) Push-Up Contest, (2) Mummy Wrap (toilet paper rolls need to get purchased), (3) Tug-of-War, (4) Dodgeball, (5) whipped cream and bubblegum(6) Wheelbarrow Race, (7) 3-legged race.






* Extra Events: (1) dance-off contest, (2) singing contest, (3) knockout






* MC - Mr. Sill
* price per student = $20

* Is there a student DJ that can play music for us????

* sign up for different shifts... (2:30-4, 4-5:30, 5-6? shorter shift/cleanup)

* everyone needs to bring in an individually-wrapped bag of candy labeled with your name so we can give you credit

MEETING # 3: Wed. October 6, 2010

(2) Thanks to the students that participated in the spirit parade

(3) Pep Rally ---
* discuss / sign up for events (30 hula hoops total)
* passes distributed today...
* MUST BE SIGNED BY YOUR TEACHERS TOMORROW PERMITTING YOU TO LEAVE CLASS.
* You are not automatically excused from class.
* When you get to the gym sign in - attendance list will be forwarded to faculty.
* You also will be expected to CLEAN UP after the pep rally.
* Blue decorations needed... if there is nothing to set up, you will have to return to class; it is not a free period. What blue materials can you bring in from home?

(4) Homecoming Court online voting for King/Queen taking place until 9th period Thursday via SHS-West website.

(5) Safe Halloween - Fri. Oct. 29 (only 3 meetings before this event)
* bags of individually wrapped candy needed from each member (write your name on the bag so we can give you credit)
* need 2 black tableclothes, bowl of peeled grapes, bowl of cooked spaghetti, bowl of red jello, 5 shoeboxes

(6) Jr.-Sr. Sports Day - Tues. Nov. 16
* TSHIRT DESIGNS NEEDED by the next meeting.
